We go on our annual family beach trip to garden city, sc. We enjoy this location and especially where this house is. It is accommodating to a large family. The kids enjoy the spacious areas of the house and the pool is great. Some things in the house need to be updated/repaired. The realty company is great for communication about concerns. We’ve stayed here a couple of times and enjoyed both stays.

This was our 9th summer staying at Black Tied Affair and were very appreciative of the upgrades made...new mattresses, refrigerators, bedding, and TV. Saw the outside pool bar was also getting an upgrade! This house is comfortable and convenient to the beach and pier. It is by far our favorite house of the 9 houses we've stayed in the past 28 years our extended family has vacationed together!

My wife and I hosted our five grown children, their spouses, and our grand children for a week in July at Black Tide Affair. The "beach week" is a tradition dating back nearly 30 years, but this was our first stay in Black Tide Affair. The home was a hit with everyone! There were 18 of us in the house for the week, and we have already decided to rent it again for next year.

This was our 7th year at Black Tide and will be back again next summer. Great location for walking to the pier but not in the crowded area, easy access to beach, nice pool, and house amenities with two fridges and two dishwashers is exceptional!

Loved the house. Lots of space for 16 people that went. Across the street from beach. House had pretty much everything needed. There is no mini fridge by pool area and some water damage at pool wet bar. Loved the two fridges and two ovens and dishwashers in kitchen. Didn’t expect ice maker in wet bar in living room. That came in handy. Would definitely go back to this rental.

The house is beautiful and we would recommend it. However, some repairs are needed. I reported those to the office. Hurricane Elsa caused some of those.
No complaints with the overall house, location, management or service. The pool was great!!

Family Birthday Gathering. Space for everyone. Location was fabulous. Convenient to everything. Easy beach access. Beach Realty addressed any issues immediately. Only CON would be some of the kitchen stools are showing their wear & some TV remotes weren't working. Would def use them & this property again!

As always, we had a great time. The house just seems to really suit us. It is a great lay out with the way the bedrooms are spread out, and we love the bathroom for each room. The kitchen is such a good cooking and eating set up. Tons of space for the food, love the 2 refrigerators. All the deck space is so great and the views are awesome from each of them. Part of our family lives close by and the rest fly or drive in. We love the area, we golf and there is plenty of good golf. Also visited Broadway at the Beach and the piers.

Our group had a wonderful time on our annual vacation. The weather was if it was custom ordered, the fish were biting, and the sunrises were beautiful. Our reservation was right after hurricane Matthew so we weren't sure what we would have a place to stay but the rental company came through as always. Prayers for the locals and homeowners. We claim the folks at Beach Realty as our family.

This was our third year at this house and we always have a great experience because of it's design, location and pool. The two refrigerators are a bonus and the size of the kitchen with generous bar seating is awesome. It needed a few more sturdy cooking utensils (metal instead of plastic) but still an exceptional space. Comfortable living room seating and extra hangout rooms were also beneficial.

The house was perfect for what we needed for our families. The top floor bedroom and game room was a bit hot (we had 4 girls on that floor) I would suggest maybe bringing a fan or two.
The property management company was wonderful, they took care of everything we needed and it was done quickly. The pool got a little cold so be sure to keep it full. If the water gets low the heater shuts off. To avoid this put the hose in the pool to top it off. I would stay at this property again.

The home was perfect for 8 adults, and was in good condition. A few minor issues with remotes not working for all TV’s and the foosball table missing a player which made it impossible to play. Other than those minor issues the home was great, and in a great location close to pier, restaurants, and golf courses.

This vacation was enjoyed by the everyone in the family. The accommodations were perfect for all. Several family members are seniors who have great difficulty maneuvering up and down steps. The elevator was a wonderful addition to the property that allowed these grands to join us for this vacation. All of the amenities provided at Black Tide Affair allowed for a great vacation.

House was great! All 7 of us ladies enjoyed a wonderful week here. House was clean and for the most part well-maintained. A few minor things throughout house needed to be repaired (mainly blinds and one doorknob). Easy access to the beach. Kitchen could use a few more items but was sufficient and we made do with what was provided. Staff at Beach Realty was awesome! We’ve stayed with other realty companies and by far Desiree and Birdie are the best! We will be renting from Beach Realty from now on. Great trip!

The house is very spacious and accommodating. 2 refrigerators and multiple ice makers made it even more convenient. The elevator was a godsend because we had a niece that was recovering from surgery. The staff was very professional and friendly. They provided excellent instructions. We are looking forward to returning next year.

We have been staying at Black Tied Affair every year except 2 since it was built in 2005. We love the large, open spaces required for a large family. We generally have at least 15 people stay for a week each year. The house is more like its own hotel with wide hallways, large family gathering areas, a great pool and easy access to the beach. You will be glad you stayed at Black Tied Affair.

Our large family had a wonderful week at Black Tide Affair. The house is open and has plenty of room to spread out. The house was clean, well furnished and convenient to the beach. We all enjoyed the pool as well.

The Black Tide Affair is located across the street from the beach and two blocks from the inlet. You get the best of both views from the main level. The elevator was perfect for my parents and made loading and unloading easy. The three separate den/tv areas one for each floor helped a ton when we got rained out one day.

The pool is private and pool area is not cramped like some private pool areas. Our family had plenty of room to move around and enjoy the wonderful pool and covered bar area.

The best part was our two boys got the whole 3rd floor to themselves. Best view on the covered porch, regulation pool table and foosball table, large tv for gaming their own wet bar.

My extended family was together for a week and we all wished we could have stayed for another week.

The staff was very friendly and extremely responsive if we needed anything.

We plan on booking the Black Tide Affair same time next year. My family would highly recommend Beach Realty and Black Tide Affair to you and your family.

very good, plan to stay there next year 2014, the living area could use another sofa or 2 more chairs some times we needed more sitting space, also could use a small table and chairs for children. we had 3 little girls it would have been nice to have something for them. But overall it was very good. Thanks

We loved the items and their descriptions in the binder. They really give the home character. The elevator was very useful. The kitchen was exceptional. It was so convenient to have two refrigerators and two dish washers. And we never ran out of ice thanks to all the ice makers on every floor. It was a wonderful vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shore Haven. Plenty of room for our group of 16 (10 adults, 6 kids). Elevator was nice for grandparents who couldn't have come without it. Loved all the balconies on each side of the home. Furniture could be replaced or re- upholstered along with other cosmetics.

Our vacation was a complete success! Black Tide Affair was a perfect location for our family gathering. The house was clean and decorated perfectly. We had a few bugs, a chair that was broken and the hot tube didn't work (reported on our second day - never repaired). But those things were so minor when compared to what we experienced during our week long stay. The large table was great for everyone to gather and just be together. Thank you to everyone.

We had a fantastic time at Black Tide Affair. The bedrooms were all pretty much equal in size unlike other homes we have stayed in. The house was conveniently located to the pier and the beach. The house far exceeded our expectations. The elevator was handy for loading and unloading our stuff.

We have been coming to the Myrtle Beach area for about 20 years now and actually lived there for a short while and ready to move back.
The Black Tide Affair is the best place we have ever stayed since coming there. I would definitely recommend this property to any of my friends that has a large group of people. The place is beautifully decorated and very spacious. We would definitely go back.

The Black Tide Affair is absolutely beautiful! The bedrooms were comfortable and each had its own bathroom. The children had a wonderful time with the game room upstairs and the pool. We never had to leave the house! Beach was a short walk across the street-it was so great to have the convenience of being at the beach and running back to the pool if you wanted to. Kitchen was great - the stove top needs to be replaced, but other than that, it was perfect for our large group. I would highly recommend the Black Tide Affair.

We had 16 adult and teen-aged people in this house and really felt it was big enough, yet intimate enough for us all to enjoy each other. GREAT kitchen set-up with the two refrigerators and dishwashers, plus a great pantry area. Also had comfortable seating in the family room. Will come again next summer!

This was our second year staying at Black Tide Affair. We found that the layout of the house suited our needs. Weather was great with sunshine just about every day, making going to the beach a must. We had a group of 17 family and friends. We made breakfast every morning and then everyone went off to do what they wanted to do. Garden City is in a great location where it is away from the Grand Strand, but you can go if you want to do any of the many activities there. The beach house is in a great location not far from the pier where several in our party went fishing. Having restaurants handy was also a plus which we took advantage of. The house itself was very clean, but the grounds needed cleaned. There was a lot of debris of sand and dead bugs on the cement when we arrived. We looked for a broom to sweep everything up but could not find one. We did not utilize the pool because it was too cold at nights and the water did not warm up. The elevator was wonderful to load up all our supplies and take either to our rooms or to the kitchen. There are a few things that need some repair. I would love to see some rocking chairs on the first floor deck to sit and look at the ocean, just as there are on the second floor. Overall, we had a great vacation and hope to do it again next year.

We rented this unit to stay for my daughters wedding for the immediate family. We had a great stay and everything overall was good. The pros: the unit was in a great location, right across was beach access, view was wonderful and the sleeping arrangements great for our crew! It has a great kitchen area and sitting area and the upstairs room had plenty of room for extra guests.
Cons: The kitchen could use some better newer items, like the coffee pot leaked and the other one in the downstairs kitchen did not work. The dryer took several turns to dry anything, the fry pans were rather nasty looking had to go out and buy one to use.

Wonderful place to have a vacation! Spacious, well appointed, comfortable place for our families to stay for the week! My family has stayed in this home since the fist year it opened (8,9,10 times - not sure). You can't go wrong. Like living in a home, not a beach house. All rooms are large, huge kitchen living room area. Doesn't get much better. Across the road from the beach is no problem! It's time for a few repairs (which we gave to the PM since we feel like its our house), but the owner does a good job of maintaining.

This is the fourth year my entire family has vacationed there.
Love the three wet bars,with ice makers and refrigerators at each.
Two refrigerators and two dish washers are really convenient. Great place. Wish I owned it.

A few of the reasons we chose this house were the 2 fridges, 2 DW's, and all the space it offered for a family our size. Overall we were satisfied but some suggestions to the owners would be to stock the kitchen a little better, repair some things in the house (they were working on these while we were there), and get the house a deep cleaning. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our calls. Great views of the marsh and the ocean from the porches. Loved being able to walk across the street to the beach access.

This house has something for everyone that was in our group . Kids(8) loved the game room and pool, adults enjoy the outside bar area. Well supplied kitchen, would have liked a grill with house and also the dryer should be replaced. Over all a great place to vacation.

This was a great place for our extended family to gather to celebrate our daughters graduation from Coastal Carolina While 2nd row the beach is still close enough to hear the ocean. The rooms are spacious and we'll maintained - of course there are always wear and tear in rental units like the mini bar fridge door would not close (but was fixed the next day or the ice maker that didn't produce ice. The pool was great though expensive to heat- glad we did as the first few days were cool. We would stay here again.
